We are approaching the finish line and now have sufficient funds to begin construction in May or June, 2008. Our efforts have brought us closer to preserving what we have and building what we need. Everyone who attends Mass participated in being part of the miracle by reciting the Prayer for IHM Expansion. Many have also given their time, talent and treasure to get us to this important juncture.

We can all be grateful for the gifts we received. There are many and the most significant of these are:

• A 15 acre land donation by the Grant Family upon which we will build the Pope John Paul II Catholic Church.

• Cash donations of $1.3 million.

• A second land donation made to benefit JP II construction. It was recently sold for $500,000 and is the reason we are able to begin the building process.

When construction begins, we estimate that we will have sufficient funds for 75% of the project. In order to complete the church without borrowing funds, we need $600,000 in donations. Following are some of the ways this can be accomplished:

• Re-examine your charitable contributions to the JP II building fund and determine if you are in a position to give additional funds.

• Renew your existing pledge when it expires.

• Consider making a cash contribution if you have not already done so.

• Donate securities, real estate and other assets that can be converted to cash.
